Meth Detection

Advanced BioRecovery Solutions offers a comprehensive suite of meth residue testing and recovery services. Our Meth Residue Recovery Technicians are trained and certified in meth level analysis, work plan development and implementation, and contaminated materials disposal.

We offer an array of meth testing procedures to accurately decern meth residue concentrations. Testing methodologies include GS/MS (Chromatography with Mass Spectrometry), GC/FID (Gas Chromatography with Flame Ionization Detection) and MMRT (Meth Microgram Range Test).

The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) has determined through a multi-media exposure model with children as the sensitive receptor, that the risk (health) based cleanup standard for methamphetamine surface contamination is 0.015 micrograms per square centimeter (1.0 mg/100 cm2). MMRT meth testing will indicate if methamphetamine concentrations are present and if the levels exceed 0.01 micrograms per square centimeter (1.0 mg/100 cm2). This test can effectively identify if the contaminate levels are within the standard set by OEHHA.

To determine specific meth concentration levels, ABS utilizes GS/MS meth testing. Samples are taken from walls, surfaces, duct work, floors and ceilings. These samples are then subjected to chromatography with mass spectrometry in a lab environment. A specific meth value is rendered from this test. Using this value, Advanced BioRecovery Solutions will create a work plan and develop decontamination, implementation and disposal strategies.

GS/MS and MMRT tests can also be used to evaluate meth exposure levels in vehicles.
